look how sweet

who knew a teether/rattle could be so pretty?

these little felt treats are adorable, found here

isn't this the sweetest little necklace? Found it here, by wiregirl.

EDITED TO ADD: Just so you know, when I put things on this blog that I like, its just stuff I like, not buy. I don't have any shopping issues here. Just window shopping issues!

I need an intervention, pronto.

Somebody stop me before I spend WAY too much money at this etsy shop- Charbridge Knits and Gifts

I am definently getting this monster hat for Adler and one of these other ones for Hazel or either a pink monster hat, just can't choose. There is nothing better than a silly winter hat, in my opinion.

In all honesty, I can't decide whether I want the hats, or if I just want these ridiculously cute kids modeling the hats. Don't you just want to die over this photography?

Genius Baby Infant Stinulation Mobile

I bought this mobile for Hazel after a long, frustrating search for a mobile with black and white contrasts to it. For some reason, these kinds of mobiles are hard to find, even though all the experts say they are best for your baby. Adler was never interested in his mobile, but this one is a total hit with Hazel. She will lay in her crib for 20 minutes smiling and talking to it. In baby time, that's like 3 hours. It comes with all these different cards that you can slide in that have different black, white and red patterns and designs on one side, and then when the baby gets around 3 months, you can flip the cards to the other side that shows pictures of other babies making various facial expressions. I am truly happy with this product and highly recommend this to all new or expecting moms!

Land of Nod

I love love the children's furniture and accessories company, The Land of Nod. They are whimsical, sweet, innocent, and everything a children's store should be. Plus their descriptions and names of their products in their catalog will make you laugh.

I just saw this baby girl bedding, called "Honey, I Shrunk the Doll Dresses" and just about died over the cuteness. Isn't it the sweetest? I love my pottery barn kids little birdie set, but this one would have made me think twice if I would have seen it first.

I couldn't get the picture to save, but visit it here.

Oh WHY must I be so prudent?

I am really loving Pottery Barn's new Beatrix Potter Easter collection. How cute would those little plates be on my table?

The Bumble Bag

Oh YAY! Did I ever tell you that I have the best mother in law EVER! I have been wanting a feel good, look great diaper bag ever since I had Adler. I had a good one with him, but it was manly and functional and not soft and pretty. Mrs. Sandi sensed my need and got me the best diaper bag ever! It has everything, beauty and style, straps to attach to stroller, changing pad, and pockets, OH THE POCKETS!!
And best of all, SCOTT BAIO has one just like it too. (and lots of other slightly less cool celebrities, like Sheryl Crow and Tori Spelling).
I know you are now dying for your own, so you can check out the Bumble Bags here.
So thank you, Mrs. Sandi, for being such a great mil and accepting me into the folds of your family as one of your own, oh, and FOR THE BAG!!! Joy!
PS- technically, this bag is not mine, its an Easter gift for the new baby, but I think its pretty obvious who will love it best.

I want

My friend Sarah is busy shopping away for her first little girl, due the same week that our babe is due too. Anyway, she (who by the way has picked out the sweetest little things for her nursery) has been doing one of my favorite things, shopping Etsy, and has inspired me to spend the last 14 hours looking at children's art. Now I am dying to get every one of the prints from this shop. Here are some of my favs though:

Eric just bought the "Alter and the Door Live" Casting Crowns album and let me say, it is good, especially the last few tracks.

Sweet little mini journal

I am drawn to small notebooks and journals, which is why I had to buy this small mini-journal when I saw it. For less than $3, this little notebook makes me feel so happy when I see it poking its cute little cover out of my purse. The artist, Claire Nicolson, really speaks to my sense of style as well. Check out her website here. She designs her work by first making paper collages out of decorative paper and packagings. She uses vintage textiles to create her art. Here's a peak at the cuteness you are sure to find on her website. This picture is of her dolly birds, inspired by russian dolls. How sweet!

Silk screen Birdie Towel

I really adore this little kitchen towel. If it was in my kitchen, I do believe I may want to keep it organized and smelling like home made bread. I found this at Patapri's Etsy Shop. The Patapri's website is here. I am really loving it.

Really Cute Magnets

So, who wouldn't like to have these cute things on her refrigerator? It doesn't get better than dancing bacon. I sure love Etsy! And I love this seller, KungFuCowgirl- she sells sweet, and sometimes a little funky things that just call my name.

Photo Charm Necklace

I got this necklace for Mother's Day this past year from Kimbra Studios, out of Colorado and featured twice on The Today Show. Its a new twist on a locket, something I have wanted for a long time. Its a sterling silver water-sealed necklace, but you can get charms, bracelets, and more with your photo. Its hard to see the detail, but on the bottom left hand side, it says "love". The picture is of Adler the day we took him home from the hospital. This is definently one of my favorite pieces of jewelry and I wear it with everything!

The Malindi Croc

So, my first installment of Thing I Like goes to The Malindi Style Crocs. I have never owned a pair of Crocs and took pride in the fact that I never succumbed to wearing shoes for the sake of comfort. I have a theory that if I start with Crocs, before too long I will be wearing old lady orthopedic shoes.
However, I found these cute Crocs a few months ago and decided to try them out. They are by far my favorite shoes. Unless you are looking close, they just look like ballet slippers. I can get away with wearing them with practically everything. They are the most comfortable and versatile shoes I have ever owned. I don't have to worry about getting them dirty or wet or if my toenails are painted or if I am going to be inappropriately dressed because they double as ballet flats.
Its so hard these days to put on anything but these shoes. I am hoping they make some with the fur around it for winter (kidding. or am I?)
They also make some called the Prima , which are even more similar to ballet slippers- they may be my next buy if these ever wear out.

Things I Like

So, I am adding a new feature to the apple- Things I like. No real explanation needed, so I won't go into detail about how I will be posting things I like, sometimes own, and lots of times just wish I owned.

Stay tuned!
