Update

Well, I ended up taking Adler to the doctor yesterday about his stomach issues, only to discover that was the least of his worries as he has pneumonia too. I honestly didn't think his cold was all that serious because he wasn't doing any of the wheezy, raspy breathing he did the other times he had pneumonia, and his high fever only lasted a day or two last week. But apparently, he has it. After a shot and a bundle of prescriptions, we are doing better. He woke up happy and energetic and wanting to eat. I had never heard of this, but the doctor sent me home with these little granules to mix in with his food to put the bacteria back in his stomach that he has been emptying out. And I think its working! We had a normal diaper this morning. And he slept ALL night. And the icing on the cake, I didn't stay up all night coughing either. We had a good nights sleep. God must have known we were all at breaking points.

On other news, I am about 15 weeks pregnant now, the wee one is the size of a lemon! Can't wait to start feeling those little kicks. Hopefully we will find out the sex in about 2 weeks. There is a lot of pressure for this one to be a girl, after a run of 5 boys on my side and 2 on E's side. The oldest grandchild on both sides are girls, and after that, all boys! Everyone says they don't care, but my mom has already informed me she has bought pink and E's mom says she doesn't care as long as its healthy, and a girl. In truth though, I know no-one actually cares though. A baby is a baby! I actually can't even imagine how I would mother a girl after having a boy.

We have pretty low-key New Year's plans. And by low-key, I mean no plans whatsoever. We certainly can't get Ad out, so I suppose we will just ring it in quietly with Ryan Secrest.

Poor baby! We all just need to have one big sickfest. We can take turns taking hits off the breathing machines! HA! Seriously, hope he feels better soon. Happy New Year!

I've given those granules to Rebecca. They work pretty good. Glad everything is on the up and up now with you and Adler.

I am so sorry that my sweet boy is so sick. Mom called me and told me this morning. Sounds like things are better since the doctor. I am ready for you to find out what the baby is as well. A healthy baby is all we ask! We will be watching the ball drop at our house also(Whoopie!) Hope Adler gets to feeling better soon, let me know if you need anything.

I am sooo happy my baby boy is feeling better. He was so sick yesterday. e told me he prayed over him and was fasting today. I am so proud both of you are wonderful christian parents. No grandmother could be more proud of ya'll. And today he was happy and playful all day. I enjoy my days with him so much, sick or well they are always a blessing.
