Has it been that long?

Gosh, my blogging has been pretty pathetic lately.  Life has been so full the past few weeks and I just haven't felt like getting on and blogging about it.

Let's see, biggest news is that my sister in law had a new baby- Landrieu James and he is perfect!!!  Born on May 21 at 7 lbs and 19 1/4 inches long.  They are both doing great and I can't wait to see him again!  I don't have any pictures, but I will have to post when I get one.

We are out of preschool for the summer.  I am excited about keeping Adler busy and having a little preschool boot camp to prepare him for next year!  We had some difficulties towards the end of the year, just call it an extended spring fever, so there are a few things I am wanting to work with Adler to get back on track.  He's doing good at home though (okay, its only been two days....) and is really loving getting to do some extra stuff at home that we have sort of been slacking on the past few months since I knew he was getting his art on at school.  Today, it was painting with apples.  He was a little annoyed though because he would much rather eat them than paint with them!

Hazel is doing great.  She has been taking 6-7 steps at a time for a few weeks.  She sure is taking her time walking though.  I mean, not that she should be walking now- I know that gap is wide to do that.  But she has literally been taking steps on her own since she was 9.5 months so the beginning stages of walking hasn't really progressed much since then.  Anyway, she is super proud of herself.  She says dada, bye-bye, and as of two days ago, mama.  I am not being biased here, but she sounds the sweetest when she says momma.  It started off that she would only say it when she was mad or sad, but now she says it on command.  Love it!

Okay, kids are waking up- time to get back to it!!
