Thankful

On my way to Jackson this morning, I was in a car accident on the interstate. I was alone and unhurt, thankfully, but it did shake me up. It was raining pretty hard and I fishtailed, did the wrong thing I guess and jerked my wheel too hard to get back in line which sent me spinning off the interstate. I need to add that I never do that. But I guess I did this time. Anyway, I hit a tree and some brush, but enough to do a bit of damage.

I am not over-dramatic about my accident- it wasn't a bad one, but the "what if's" really shook me up. If there would have been another vehicle involved, if Adler would have been with me, if I would have been driving faster and that tree would have been bigger....I can't imagine not being here for my family, and as soon as my car stopped, I thanked God for saving me, for making that tree small and the road empty.

Glad you are okay! I had a doctor's appointment this morning and was trying to get there in the rain and saw a car over in the brush near Clinton. Was that you? The cops were already on the scene, otherwise I would have stopped. It was not a good morning to be on the Interstate!

Thank God you are ok..I have done that before and to this day I sweat whenever the roads are slick and someone else is driving me. I literally hold on to something.

Just knowing you came that close, even unhurt, makes me want to cry. So glad this was a "what if" that didn't happen.

I thank God for protecting you too, Ashley! I can imagine how awful that must have been...the accident itself as well as the frightening thoughts of what could have been. Don't be surprised if you find yourself holding onto Adler a little closer and tighter for the next few days. I love you, Ashley, and I am so thankful you weren't hurt, and that you are safe at home with your family tonight, right where you belong.

yes, that probably was me, although there was a wreck on the interstate that happened after mine but was before mine on the interstate so I don't know for sure. I am glad you didn't attempt to stop and help though- your pregnant little self would not have fared well in the mud and rain on the side of the interstate- thanks though!
