They totally took my name

According to The Sun, chef Jamie Oliver and his wife welcomed their third child recently, whom they named Petal Blossom Rainbow. She is welcomed by her sisters, Poppy Honey and Daisy Boo. Seriously.

Just because a word evokes happy feelings doesn't mean it should be a name, yall. Although, I was really thinking that Ben and Jerry's Phish Food icecream would be a great name for our little one. It does make me happy.

Uncool

Do you know what I think is "uncool"? The media, for attacking Jennifer Anniston for saying it was uncool of ex-husband's girlfriend, Angelina Jolie, to make comments about falling in love on set of "Mr and Mrs. Smith" as well as some other comments because it was during that time Brad Pitt was still married to Anniston. Um, hello, that IS uncool. Not as uncool as it was for Pitt and Jolie to have a relationship while married to Anniston in the first place, but still uncool. Pitt later said that the filming of this movie was still happening after the breakup of him and Anniston, but who really believes that it didn't coincide?

I can't believe that the media is a reflection of who we are as a society, but I guess it is that. I am just sickened at how liberal we have become.

On other news, I took Ad back to the doctor today at UMC and we scheduled to have his adenoids out, tubes put in his ears and a PIC line put in for IV antibiotics next Friday. I am really hoping this improves his situation and is the answer to some prayers we have had over him. I am feeling pretty positive about it.

This bothers me

and I know it shouldn't.

But, in OK Magazine, Jessica Alba and her baby's daddy were talking about her birth to daughter Honor, saying:

"I didn't scream," Jessica tells OK! in an exclusive interview and photoshoot. "It was really Zen." And Cash could only marvel at his wife's quiet strength when she gave birth. "She didn't make a sound," he says. "It was amazing."

I just don't like it and I am not sure why. Does anyone else get the vibe or I am just being too critical?

While I am at it, another thing I don't like, is Minnie Driver on her impending labor and delivery from Celebrity Baby Blog:

Her old fashioned approach extends to her preferred method of delivery -- Minnie says that a C-section is "antithetical to what I believe in every cell of my body." She adds,
"I'd have this baby in the sea if it wasn't so polluted."

I am all for natural childbirth, water births, quiet births, c-section births, hynobirths, epidural births...whatever needs to be done, but it seems whenever celebrities start talking about childbirth, I start feeling annoyed.

I also get annoyed when celebrites mention breastfeeding in their interviews. It always seems awkward, like they are dropping into the conversation intentionally to let the public know they are doing it.

While we are at it, all these photo-shoots they do with the tabloids irks me too- they look so well rested and content with sickeningly sweet smiles on their faces and they talk about being up all night with the baby but they don't mind because its so wonderful and beautiful and on and so on. Oh, don't forget the line all new celebrity moms use (note the breastfeeding line drop in there too)- "I'm not exercising at all, but the weight is coming off from breastfeeding."

Oh, but they leave out the whole, "I have a night nanny who wakes up with the baby and then a day nanny who takes care of the baby while I am at the trainer or napping or buying clothes. Oh, and the caterer brings all our meals to us and I don't have one other thing to do but gaze sweetly at my newborn baby for the next 6 months until I start work on my new movie and my new fragrance comes out."

I really don't know why I am feeling bitter today.

I do have to add that I am sure there are celebrities out there who do not deserve this lash out and to them, I am sorry. You are normal.

Oh Good Grief

Yes, Helena Bonham Carter, we see you. We see your child too. We know, we know, you are a big, famous super-star who does it big-big.

I had totally forgotten about that

So, I was watching VH1 last night, and got to take a serious trip down memory lane while watching "I Love the New Millinium: 2007". It seems like only yesterday Jamie Lyn Spears was announcing her pregnancy while her sister was shaving her head. And can you believe the things we used to wear- leggings...bubble dresses....blue jeans....how funny is that! Don't even get me started on the Victoria Beckam Bob. Gosh, it seems like only last year.

It was so fun going back in time and remembering the crazy and stupid stuff that went on in our youth, you know, like 6 months ago. Thank goodness for the time capsule that is VH1 for refreshing us on that.

Maybe we should just do the show weekly- "I Love Last Week"- or is that what "Best Week Ever" is for?

Prayers

I just read that Steven Curtis Chapman's, a Christian singer (who I used to love as a teenager) 5 year old daughter was hit by a vehicle in her driveway yesterday and died. Please keep him and his family in your prayers. I believe it was her teenage brother who was driving the vehicle and he just didn't see her. I can't imagine the pain his is going through- anway, say a prayer for them tonight.

New Kids

So, who caught the New Kids on The Today Show this morning? If you missed it, you basically missed alots of screaming 30 somethings women (and men!). I won't judge the music, because live music on Today Show usually is mediocre, but I will judge Donnie's choice of clothing- he was totally trying to bring back the vest. NKOTB will always have a special place in my heart, but those vests will not! Let's update, guys, mkay?

Oh, Topanga, where did you go wrong?

If you were home like me every single Friday night, you did not miss a night of beloved TGIF, including "Boy Meets World". Well, apparently, Topanga , aka Danielle Fishel, was seen smoochin on someone who was not a boy.
I am so sad about this- I thought that she and Cory would last forever.

Just reporting in

Just reporting that I have nothing to report. I have been feeling pretty un-noteworthy and un-inspired the past few days so I haven't been on.

There's not even any hot celebrity gossip to discuss. That's always my faithful stand-by for these type situations.

Oh wait, this just in: Dina Lohan, mother of the infamous Lindsey Lohan, was voted "Mother of the Year" by mom-group, Mingling Moms.

Let's discuss.
