So I was flipping through the channels the other day and stopped on "Drop Dead Diva" a lifetime original series. Its basically about this beautiful woman who dies and comes back in the body of an overweight lawyer. Sounds kind of cheesy, but I have to tell you, its not. Its thoughtful, recognizable, and funny. The main actress, Brooke Elliot is very convincing too, and she is adorable. The only unfortunate things are its name, which I think lacks imagination, and that its on lifetime. But I think I am changing my mind about lifetime- its getting hip in its old age. I mean, Army Wives has a big following (not me, but I hear things) and its got Project Runway now too. But I digress..
The Sydney Daily Herald quoted this ,which I really think is the reason I like it too (so I am quoting an Australian newspaper. So what. Its good), "Drop Dead Diva is not just an engaging, delightful and sometimes touching comedy-drama, it's also nicely timed. We are tired of The Hills and Gossip Girl. We are tired of watching excruciatingly skinny, excruciatingly narcissistic people on television." Its true. Its refreshing, positive message has me happy and watching!

Okay... the name of the show steered me away from watching it, but you convinced me... I'll check it out...
This show had a really good pilot and then has continued to tell a really good story about livin' large in this world -
So I have been blog stalking you for a while, and why I am choosing to now leave a comment I have no idea...but I have just started watching Army Wives and have been pleasantly suprised! Will have to watch Drop Dead Diva! Congrats on the new baby, your kids are beautiful!!
